Pricing & credits

We ship credit packs, not subscriptions. You pay once and the credits land in your balance. No card on file beyond what Polar.sh (our Merchant of Record) keeps for the receipt.

Tiers

Manual static QRs are unlimited on every tier including Free. The credits are only for AI generations.

The HTTP API with your own keys (and the MCP server) requires an active Studio pack — see User API keys.

Dynamic QRs

A dynamic QR encodes one of our addresses (https://qr-branding.com/q/…) that redirects to the destination you choose. You can change that destination, pause it or reactivate it from Dashboard → Dynamic QRs without reprinting anything.

Your dynamic QRs work forever. Even if you run out of credits or your pack expires, the dynamic QRs you already created keep redirecting and you can keep editing their destination. Your tier only decides two things:

• How many you can create: 1 on Free (you need an account), 3 on Starter, 25 on Pro and 150 on Studio. If you have more than your current tier allows (for example, because a Pro pack expired), you keep them all; you just can't create more until you have room again.
• How much stats history you see: 30 days on Free and Starter, 6 months on Pro and 12 months on Studio. On each QR's page you pick the period (7, 30 or 90 days, 6 or 12 months) up to your tier's maximum. Scans are stored for as long as the QR exists, so if you buy a higher tier again you get the history back.

Fair use

To keep the service sustainable without ever breaking a printed code:

• Redirects are never rate-limited. What we do filter is automated scans: the same device scanning a QR many times a minute, or a flood of bots hitting one code, stop being recorded in your stats, but they still redirect.
• If an account goes far beyond the usual monthly scan volume, we get an alert and review it by hand. There is no automatic cut-off.
• If a dynamic QR is reported for phishing, malware or impersonation, we may pause it while we review it (section 4 of the Terms).

How credits decrement

• Successful generation → 1 credit consumed
• Provider returned 5xx or the engine couldn't validate → 0 credits consumed (we eat the cost)
• Same prompt re-run within 30 days → served from cache, 0 credits

The 30-day cache key is sha256(prompt + provider + model + creativity + style + strictScannability). Re-roll the same prompt as often as you like.

Expiry

• Starter credits never expire. They sit in your account until you use them.
• Pro / Studio credits expire 12 months after the purchase date.

If you buy a second pack before the first expires, expiry is set to max(existing, new) — you don't lose anything by topping up.

Refunds

Voluntary 14-day guarantee. You can ask for a full refund of a pack within 14 days of the purchase, from your Polar receipt link or by writing to support@qr-branding.com, even if you've already spent some of its credits — we eat that cost.

When an order is refunded:

• the unused credits from that order are removed from your account (your balance never goes negative);
• the API access it granted ends (Studio packs);
• the affiliate commissions it generated are voided.

There are no partial refunds on request: the whole pack is refunded. If we issue a partial refund on our own initiative (for example, when suspending an account for abuse), the same proportion of that order's unused credits and commissions is removed.

Right of withdrawal. Credits are digital content made available to you as soon as the payment completes. Before sending you to checkout we ask you to tick a box — unticked by default — giving your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledging that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal (art. 103.m of the Spanish TRLGDCU and art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). The purchase can't be completed without it, and we confirm it in your receipt email. The voluntary 14-day guarantee still applies.

Currencies

We invoice in your local currency where supported (auto-detected by IP, override at checkout). Tax (EU VAT, US sales tax, etc.) is handled by Polar.sh as MoR.

Affiliate commission

30% of the paid amount on every order you refer — flat, all paid plans. 90-day attribution window. Paid out monthly via Polar once you cross $25 USD earned. See Affiliates.
